YOUTH EXCHANGES.
DESCRIPTION
Youth exchanges are a type of short international mobility financed by the European Union and implemented by civil organizations where youngsters (16-30 years old) from different countries can get together at one location to explore a topic together in a fun way trough games and discussions while also experiencing intercultural cooperation thus enhancing solidarity and understanding among young Europeans.
PLACE
Youth exchanges can take place in any EU countries and some other states nearby (e.g. Switzerland or Turkey). Participants are hosted by our partner organization in that country at a rented accommodation.
EU FUNDING
Thanks to EU funding the meals and accommodation are provided by the host organization, while travel costs are reimbursed up to the amount specified based on distance (usually between €100-€400).
PARTICIPANTS
Any resident of Hungary (13-30) can take part in youth exchanges and explore the topic of the project through non-formal learning together with youngsters from the other participating countries.
GOALS
The topics of youth exchanges focus on the 11 Youth Goals of the EU. These projects help reach the EU’s main purposes of upholding peace and prosperity by strengthening participants’ European identity.
TRAINING COURSES.
DESCRIPTION
Training courses are a type of short international mobility financed by the European Union and implemented by civil organizations where youth workers from different countries can get together at one location to work on a topic that can enhance the field of European youth work.
PLACE
Training courses can take place in any EU countries and some other states nearby (e.g. Switzerland or Turkey). Participants are hosted by the local organization in that country at a rented accommodation.

Thanks to EU funding the meals and accommodation are provided by the host organization, while travel costs are reimbursed up to the amount specified based on distance (usually between €100-€400).
PARTICIPANTS
Anyone who is a resident (18+) of Hungary and is active in youth work (volunteer, student organization member, etc.) can participate in
these projects.
GOALS
These projects contribute to the realization of the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy, and especially to the innovation and recognition of youth work by enhancing the skills of people working with youth.
VOLUNTEERING ABROAD.
DESCRIPTION
Volunteering abroad through the European Solidarity Corps enables young people to spend valuable time abroad from 2 weeks up to to 12 months. During this time youngsters are helping a civil organization’s work in a solidarity related project and also have free time to explore the host country as well. It can be a great option to spend a summer holiday or even a whole gap year abroad for free.
PLACE
ESC volunteers can go to 50+ countries. Participants are hosted by our partner organization in that country and are required to volunteer for around 36 hours a week.

Thanks to EU funds the meals and accommodation are provided by the host organization, while travel costs are reimbursed up to the amount specified. Additionally, volunteers also receive pocket money.
PARTICIPANTS
Any 18-30 year old resident of Hungary can be an ESC volunteer and help the solidarity related project of the host organization either alone or in group with
other participants.
GOALS
The aim of the European Solidarity Corps is to promote solidarity through the power of community, which it aims to achieve by involving young people and organizations in activities that prioritize solidarity.

Thanks to European Union funding, meals and accommodation are provided by the host organization, while the cost of travel is reimbursed up to the limit specified in the project description (usually between €100-€400, depending on the distance between the countries), which, according to our experience, usually fully covers the incurred travel expenses. Furthermore, ESC volunteers even receive pocket money in the amount of approx. 200€ per month.
Student status is NOT a requirement for participation in any of these projects.
